Job Description

Were delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well reputed local company, who are currently looking for a talented Website & Ecommerce Assistant to support their digital marketing team with website content and the online customer user journey.This is a fixed-term role for an initial duration of approximately three months, with the potential for the contract to be extended further. Due to business requirements, applicants should be available to start immediately or within 1 weeks notice.Duties and responsibilities:

  • Uploading content to the website
  • Optimising user journeys and the testing of content and links to ensure that information that is live is accurate to the brief through coordination and validation
  • Troubleshooting, communicating and/or resolving website and technical issues
  • Identifying and reporting website defects and liaising with web agency to ensure that defects are fixed
  • Ensure that metadata is added and updated for all web pages
  • Responsible for creating and optimising landing pages and uploading tactical content to the website including offers and key promotions
  • Ability to interpret product briefs and create engaging and relevant website product content
  • Work collaboratively with General Managers and Product Managers to ensure that their briefs are being met
  • Schedule and execute content to go live in line with key campaigns and product launches
  • Attend weekly content marketing meetings and discussions
  • Source inspiring and relevant imagery for digital channels
Skills and experience required:
  • Previous use of a content management system and Photoshop would be preferred but is not essential
  • Flair for writing web copy/content
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and suitably manage workloads according to business requirements
  • Feels comfortable working to deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Personable and confident with dealing with stakeholders across the business, as well as third party agencies
  • Understands the importance of the digital user journey and driving website conversions
  • Has a technical mind and can identify ways to improve website features and overall user experience
  • A good technical thinker - ability to challenge web processes and web page structures and put forward ideas for improvements
  • An understanding of SEO
  • Interest in travel marketing
Hours of work:
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch - 37.5 hours per week
  • Flexible working available on request in line with flexible working policy - to be discussed at interview stage
Salary and benefits:
  • £19,000 - £20,000
