Job Description

A Permanent Management Accountant role offering variation and responsibilityWorking in a stand alone capacity for a growing business based in Market HarboroughClient DetailsMy client is a consultancy and professional services organisation, based in Market Harborough.The company is part of a stable group of companies and requires a strong, highly skilled Management Accountant to completely oversee all areas of finance for the business.My client will give you the opportunity to take full ownership of the finances and allow you to work autonomously in this role, giving you excellent exposure and experience at a managerial levelDescriptionThe Management Accountant role will include a number of key responsibilities including:

  • Month end preparation and reporting of the management accounts
  • Complete responsibility for the P&L and Balance sheet
  • Period end duties and statutory reporting/audit preparation
  • Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis with commentary
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Payroll
  • VAT
  • Ad hoc accounting projects and administration
    • ProfileThe successful candidate for this role will have previous commercial exposure in all aspects of the role - management accounting, reporting, forecasting and reconciliation work.Youll need to be incredibly hands-on. This is not a big team where you focus on just one aspect of accounts. you need to be a do-er and someone who doesnt mind getting their hands dirty!You will also need to show that you can work autonomously and that you can be trusted to take complete responsibility in this role. you can really make this position your own!You will also need to possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to present financial data to senior management with commentary in a structured manner.You can be part qualified in ACCA or CIMA, or QBE in order to have the right skill set for my client.
