Our client is a well-respected international business operating within the Manufacturing Industry.As part of the companies continued expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Accountant to join their UK (Import / Export / Sales & Distribution Business) as Finance Manager / Financial ControllerThe successful candidate will work closely with the MD taking ownership of the financial management of the UK Business based in South Leicestershire• Manage all account activities and financial issues, creating a full and clear audit trail using Sage 200, ensuring all internal controls operate in accordance with procedures and to the satisfaction of the Directors and Auditors.• Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts & working papers & pack for year-end Statutory Accounts, present to MD and parent company.• Providing support during the annual audit and liaison with auditors.• Prepare annual budgets.• Prepare payroll, PAYE and pension submissions on a monthly basis using Sage Payroll.• Preparation of P11D’s and P60’s. Maintenance of all company tax records.• VAT & Intrastat preparation.• Ensure all Duty, VAT & Disbursements are correctly posted for Foreign Bills of Exchange and associated Shipping Agents.• Completing & reconciling monthly Area Sales Managers expenses.• Dealing with various office matters - annual insurance, vehicle purchases & sales, utilities, mobile phones and various renewals & licences.• Monthly reconciliation & payment of the Inter-company accounts.• Prepare & post journals - accruals, prepayments, pensions & adjustments.• Reconciling various balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.• Maintaining Fixed Asset Register - processing additions & disposals.• Recording and adjusting monthly depreciation in accordance with company policy.• Lead a small finance team ensuring the below is complete.• Credit control and cash flow management.• Pay supplier invoices, bank reconciliation and Foreign exchange brokerage.• Resolving GRNI issues at month end on the Access Dimensions Accounts package.• Maintain and improve administrative controls / Maintain holiday & sickness register.The ideal candidate will be formally qualified or working towards qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with experience gained in a similar role covering all aspects of Financial & Management Accounting.Those that are QBE will also be considered.Due to the broad nature of this position, this vacancy would be a ideal move to a candidate working as a Accountant / Finance Manager / Financial Controller in a SME business or divisional company of a large groupPrevious experience if using Sage / Sage 200 is desirable but not essential.A good level of IT Literacy to include MS Excel is essential.
