And thanks to staying true to our roots, and a team that is always wanting to do better, were pleased that the adventure is as exciting as ever.We think its your time to join in the fun.DIRECTOR OF MERCHANDISING - HYBRID WORKINGThe role of Director of Merchandising sits at the head of our extraordinary Merchandising team, where you lead the Merchandising function, driving best practice across strategic planning & forecasting of options, sales & stock, as well as trading every channeland territory to its fullest. Responsible for both demand and supply activity & output, connecting process and teams across these functions to drive best process, improve efficiency & drive maximum sales and profit for the business. You will create and implementclear strategies to achieve Merchandising objectives which compliment and enhance Business strategic drivers, supporting the longer-term business outlook.Day to day as a Director of Merchandising:

  • Implements clear strategy to achieve Merchandising objectives across the Merchandising team, supporting the longer term 3-5 year Business outlook, in relation to Options, Sales & Stock
  • Jointly accountable with Buying counterpart to drive maximum profitability through well-structured range plans, effective buying & stock management through all planning decisions
  • Accountable for timely delivery of stock into the business (>95% OTIF) in order to realise all trading benefit across all routes to market, including from source to global DCs. Works collaboratively with supply base in order to do so. Effectively managesthe product Critical Path in order to deliver
  • Accountable for the timely allocation and replenishment of stock across all channels globally in order to realise forecast trading potential
  • Guides promotional activity/markdown to full price sales & profit accordingly to drive maximum profitability: creates & proposes seasonal markdown plans
  • Responds to Global trading behaviours and strategic direction of the business by providing adaptable frameworks and plans
  • Delivers optimum stock control across the full estate, driving leanness and supporting cash flow whilst maximising all opportunities
  • Accountable for terminal stock position and ensuring full clearance of stock from the Business; striving for profitable exit of residual stock
  • Works closely with Finance to provide connectivity to macro factors which could influence the forecasting of sales & stock: is supportive of Business change by forward planning eventualities
  • Drives innovation by developing and maintaining external relationships and awareness of best practice within the industry
  • Accountable for all Merchandising KPIs:
-Planning & Forecasting of Options, Sales & Stock-OTIF >95% delivery of stock including inbound logistics-Allocation of stock across all channels globally-Profitable management of all stock owned by the Business (including clearance and aged)-Maximising trading opportunitiesWhat we need you to have:
  • Experience of managing multi-category teams
  • Offshore production/manufacturing background
  • Inspiring & influential - across both internal & external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisation skills. Ability to prioritise schedules and manage multiple projects within a fast paced & evolving environment
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, ability to liaise at all levels with internal/external stakeholders
  • A confident, supportive team leader. Able to share knowledge, motivate, mentor and recruit exceptional talent
  • Professional, ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to travel as and when required
