Job Description

Our client, a successful restoration company are seeking an Accounts Supervisor to join their small friendly team. This role would suit someone who is methodical and highly organised and able to work on their own as well as be a team player in a busy workingenvironment.Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assessing and administering subcontractor payments
  • Overseeing purchase ledger
  • Weekly and ad hoc supplier payment runs
  • Job costing data entry
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Credit control
  • Reconciliations of the balance sheet and project costing ledger
  • VAT, CIS, RTI submissions
  • Analysis of contracts costs
  • Processing the monthly payroll
  • Processing employee expenses
  • Reporting to the Financial Controller
  • Providing support to Financial Controller and Finance/admin department
Skills and experience required:
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience within a similar role
  • Experience in a house-building, construction or contracting business
  • Must understand the importance of being discreet and confidential at all times
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Sage
  • Must be IT literate, particularly in Excel
Hours:
  • Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm (one-hour lunch - 35-hour working week)
Salary and benefits:
  • £22,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
  • 20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays and a holiday buy back scheme of up to 10 days per year
