Job Description

Acorn Recruitment is currently recruiting for a mechanically biassed labourer at Port Talbot Steelworks for an ongoing position, this position will become permanent once a probationary period has been completed.Successful applicants will have:

  • Experience and mechanical skilles gained working in an industrial environment.
  • NVQ or similar mechanical qualification.
  • Welding experience is desirable.
  • A CCNSG Site Safety Passport.
  • A willingness to take a substance abuse test & medical examination.
  • You must be physically fit.
  • A full UK Drivers License.
    • Duties and responsibilities include:
  • General labour.
  • Manual handling.
  • Strict observation of health and safety regulations.
  • Conveyor maintainance.
  • Reporting incidents or near misses to the relevant parties.
    • Working hours are Monday - Friday, 11 hours a day with overtime payable after 8 hours. Salary works out in excess of £28,000.If you have the required experience and qualifications, and are looking to start ASAP, please apply with an up-to-date CV. Required skills
