Electrical EngineerLocation: Port Talbot, South Wales, GBAcorn is currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer on behalf of TATA at Port Talbot Steelworks.Within the role, you will support the Area Engineering Manager with the coordination of the areas engineering activities and implementation of appropriate engineering standards to drive continuously improving manufacturing performance, to deliver our AnnualPlan. The incumbent of the role will continuously develop and implement a cost effective preventative maintenance regime in line with the maintenance strategy for the Works Area.The Role:* You will support the Area Engineering Managers in effectively maintaining all process and auxiliary equipment within the business units at our clients works in Port Talbot.* Your aim to improve up time while reducing costs.* You will provide practical and technical support within your area of expertise by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of plant and process improvements.The Candidate:* As an Electrical Engineer, youll hold solid experience in fast paced heavy industrial manufacturing activities.* You will be qualified to a minimum HNC and ideally HND/Degree level.* Youll hold a demonstrable background of an electrical engineering discipline, continuous improvement processes, preventative maintenance techniques, planning and implementing maintenance stops, reacting to faults & breakdowns and dealing with contractors.* As part of the role, you will showcase good working knowledge and experience in: AC & DC electrical drives* Electrical power distribution networks up to 11kV* PLCs, (fault finding and programming)* Electrical fault finding and repair* Reading circuitry schematics* 18th Edition wiring regulationsWe require applicants to have the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and be computer literate.
