Acorn by Synergie are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Electrical Craft Team Member to support their clients manufacturing facility in Port Talbot.As an Electrical Craft Team Member, you will perform preventative maintenance and inspection work, providing expertise and resource to identify and rectify faults in complex systems to ensure manufacturing continuity.Youll be responsible for ensuring all activity is undertaken within Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and in compliance with company and legislative requirements.The Electrical Craft Team Member will work as part of a team to ensure manufacturing performance on an ongoing basis, support manufacturing development plans and identify opportunities for improvement.Your key responsibilities, will include:* Providing electrical engineering expertise & advise in order to diagnose and correct complex faults in the manufacturing process equipment.* Developing expertise and keeping up to date in maintenance techniques and equipment development applicable to a heavy manufacturing environment by self-study and attendance on appropriate courses.* Providing comprehensive reports on breakdowns, repairs and related engineering activities where appropriate recommending improvements to equipment or systems.* Undertaking training as required for new specialists, other engineering grades, and manufacturing teams.* Supervising Tata Steel or contract personnel and where necessary issue certificates of isolation as part of the safe system of work.* Being familiar with many specific, modern day electrical systems including PLCs, Drives, AC & DC motor circuitry and be able to read and interpret electrical wiring and schematic drawings.You as the Candidate:-Ideally, qualified to HNC level, which will have normally been obtained through a craft apprenticeship in electrical engineering or hold a Modern Apprenticeship certificate.Have relevant plant experience in electrical systems and be capable of supervising personnel in the safe execution of engineering repair work.Demonstrate and have excellent communication and organisational skills and be computer literate.Work without close supervision, yet under pressure and to tight timescales is essential.The BenefitsOur client offers:- significant benefits packages.* £31,707 per annum* 35 days holidays per annum* Annual Pay Review* Annual Bonus Scheme - subject to business performance* Private Healthcare Scheme (Individual cover)* One of the UKs leading defined contribution pension schemes (10% employer contribution / 6% employee contribution)Additionally an extensive list of lifestyle benefits including free onsite parking, an employee assistance programme as well as Employee discount scheme for companies including Vodafone, Jaguar Land Rover and also various local services.Acorn by Synergie acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
