** Senior Residential Support Worker **** March, Cambridgeshire **** Permanent and full time **** £21,942 - £24,799 **** £500 joining bonus **** Two longs days on shift followed by three days off, on average you will have 15 days off over a 28 day roster **** To work with children and young people aged 11yrs - 18yrs with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties **BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker to work within the March area of Cambridgeshire.This is a full time and permanent role paying £21,942 - £24,799 alongside a £500 joining bonus fee.About the employer; this employer is a childrens service within the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners. Its a 5 bedded therapeutic unit for males aged 11-18 with SEBD. The home seeks to provide a safe and understanding ethos in which the young person can be assisted to address their behaviours and to take responsibility for their own actions. The emphasis of the work is by way of intervention and to challenge the inappropriate behaviour through a holistic therapeutic approach.About the job; Be the young persons champion and as part of the wider team strive to ensure that they achieve their aspirations and full potentialTo undertake a lead role in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement.To give guidance and support to all Residential Workers.To plan, manage and lead shifts ensuring children are kept safe and engaged throughout the day.To ensure the Placement Plan and Risk assessment for each child is followed and adhered to at all times.To be responsible for the supervision of designated members of staff and to record this in the Supervision Sheet on the member of staffs file.To ensure education is promoted and supported and that each childs attendance in education is maintained.To ensure all policies and procedures, as well as risk assessments are followed at all times.To raise any concerns with the Registered Manager as appropriateAbout the ideal candidate; Level 3/QCF/Diploma Residential ChildcareAt least 2 years experience of working in a childrens setting is a requirement for this role.Due to the location of the Home near March, you would need to be a driver and have your own car.This role is a permanent and full time role offering £21,942 - £24,799 alongside a £500 joining bonus.
