Job Description

Multi Skilled Maintenance EngineerMarch, Cambridgeshire Monday to Friday (07:00 - 16:00) £36,000 - £40,000 We are looking for a motivated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market windows, doors, and conservatories manufacturer. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running.You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by awelcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.Role Description:

  • Respond to breakdowns as required by Head of Engineering (HOE)/Production Manager (PM), ensuring minimum downtime of machinery.
  • Assure company quality standards are maintained.
  • Carry out all work to current legislation and regulations.
  • Carry out modifications and installation as necessary.
  • Provide feedback to Head of Engineering, including any outstanding work, unavailable machinery.
  • Assist in maintaining machinery spares to prevent excessive downtime.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with contractors when required on site.
  • Carry out project work as required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in fenestration industry is preferred, but not necessary, however, manufacturing experience is necessary.
  • Good knowledge of pneumatics.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming/fault finding
  • Must be able to work in a team and autonomously.
  • C&G 17th / 18th edition qualified.
  • Welding experience a bonus.
