Job Title: Multi Skilled EngineerLocation: March, Peterborough Sector: Renewable Energy / Anaerobic Digestion Type: PermanentStarting Salary: £40,000.00Sutton Recruitment are delighted to be working on this local opportunity with a reputable manufacturing business to recruit an Multi Skilled Engineer.Working within the Anaerobic Digestion section of the business, our aim is to create energy and capable of producing 10MW energy generation. The process of Anaerobic Digestion utilises this to create methane, which in turn is used to generate electricity thatis 100% renewable and exported to the national grid.Overall Purpose of the Multi Skilled Engineer Role:The Multi Skilled Engineering team are responsible for the maintenance and repair of processing machinery, AD process equipment, water treatment plant, buildings and site civils. They are also charged with optimising the performance of the AD process by interpretinganalysis results e.g. methane content and H2S of Biogas and taking the necessary action. The individual working within the Multi Skilled Engineering team need to ensure:• Adherence to safe working practices• All aspects of engineering both electrical and mechanical knowledge• Timely response to breakdowns• High quality of maintenance and repair• A proactive approach to improving machinery efficiency and effectiveness• Out of hours engineering support (that include weekends) is detailed in the call-out rotaKey areas of responsibility:• Adhere to the Site Health & Safety policy in all work activities • Completing Planned Maintenance tasks and recording of corrective actions on the computer-based Maintenance system• Ensuring that time keeping, and punctuality is maintained at an acceptable level.• Reaction to breakdowns ensuring quickest possible response and rectification• Organisation of maintenance and improvement works • Ensure all breakdowns are recorded along with the time and type• Ensure stock levels are maintained to a reasonable economic level, ensuring common failure parts are available by identifying parts required and upcoming issues are identified to the Engineering Leader • Supervise contractors ensuring safe systems of work are followed• Responsible for Pump repairs / refurbishment and any new installations and fabrications work• Completion of timely, accurate paperwork• Assistance with project work with Engineering ManagerOutline of CompetenciesJob holder will be able to:• adopt personal style to develop relationships with colleagues;• share information with colleagues;• present self in a manner appropriate to the situation;• obtain relevant information, analyse and maintain it in appropriate formats;• refer decisions to others when appropriate;• develop own knowledge of the organisation, its context and its services to fulfil objectives;• develop new processes and practices to accommodate new objectives and technological developments;• develop daily work plans for job objectives;• keep people informed of progress on key tasks; and• identify and highlight potential obstacles in achieving objectives and propose solutions where appropriateExperienceExperienced in Electrical EngineeringExperienced in Mechanical Engineering Directing and supervising of ContractorsKnowledgeAbility to read and interpret all Engineering DrawingsDevelopment and Implementation of ‘Safe Systems of Work’EducationalRelevant Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical) and/or experienced time served EngineerHours40 hours per week, 8 Hours per dayMonday to FridayOccasional overtime On call rota RemunerationStarting salary £40,000.00 Sutton Recruitment Limited offer a professional and personal service within recruitment.
