Job Description

Unique Employment Services Ltd are recruiting on behalf of our client based in March, Cambridgeshire. Our client is a market leader in the Moto Industry and due to continued growth are now looking for HGV Technician to join their successful team.We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate drive, commitment and enthusiasm along with willingness to contribute to a winning team.Main Responsibilities:

  • Comply at all times with Company policies and instructions on all relevant subjects, including general Health and Safety: personal protective equipment, security, vehicle driving and parking
  • Experience working in a busy environment with a previous experience within a similar role is required.
  • Carry out road-testing of vehicles when required in safe and legal way as instructed, checking first for basic roadworthiness and using defensive driving techniques at all times
  • Identify and utilise the correct methods of working by using your experience, skills, training and industry knowledge, referring to the available technical information where appropriate.
  • Able to MOT prep HGV vehicles and trailers and carry the Tacho checks
  • Work safety and efficiently in order to satisfactory complete all jobs allocated to you
  • Assist all colleagues with colleagues, customers, suppliers and other parties as instructed.
  • Able to inspect and service vehicles for PMI’s
  • IRTEC qualified would be beneficial but not essential
  • Own transport is desirable due to the locations of the work
    • Start date- 27th July 2020Hours of work are Monday- Friday 8:30-18:30/ Saturday- 8:30-14:00Pay Rate £12.50 overtime after 40 hours £14.50- full time hoursPlease do not hesitate to come into our Spalding branch or call us for more details.
