Job Description

ASSISTANT CASE WORKER REQUIRED!Reed are currently looking for anAssistant Case Workerto provide a responsive, customer focussed, support service for children, young people and families with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).At present I can confirm the following requirements.Location – Remote working, possible 1 daya week in the office from July, NG18Hours- Full time Monday- Friday 37 hoursLength of role - temp till 31/10/2021The job:You’ll be receiving all initial contacts and enquiries regarding the statutory Education Health and Care (EHC) process on a locality basis and providing support to the Locality Caseworker Team.Your day-to-day tasks may include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all enquiries regarding the statutory EHC process.
  • liaising throughout the process with families and other professionals as required.
  • Providing impartial information and advice to children and young people (0-25 yrs) with disabilities, their families, and professionals, in line with SEND statutory duties Compile chronologies
  • Undertaking administrative duties relating to Mediations and Tribunals, including preparation of bundles of documents.
  • To gather and process information in line with data protection law and relevant legislation e.g. EHC legal framework, GDPR
  • To organise and book appointments/meetings for Caseworkers as required
  • The ideal assistant case worker will have:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Must be educated to English and Maths at GCSE Grade C or above.
  • Experience of providing services to children and/or adults within an education, health or social care setting for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Experience of providing information to the public or customers and of customer focused service delivery.
  • Experience of using digital platforms such as Teams or Zoom.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment.
