Job Description

Become a Web Application Support Developer with Capita Intelligent Communications in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire:An excellent opportunity for a Web Application Support Specialist to join our team to participate in the technical design, development and implementation of web-based application systems.What you will do:

  • Developing web-based applications or systems while adhering to development specifications.
  • Assisting in creating test scenarios and running tests to improve performance of web-based-applications.
  • Supporting and facilitating the posting of data, programs, forms, HTML pages and graphic images for existing and new applications.
  • Generating technical documentation on installation and operation procedures for end users.
    • About you:
  • Proven experience working in an application and production support environment.
  • Basic understanding of Windows, Linux, Networking and cloud infrastructure
  • Good application support and scripting skills
  • Ideally hands on knowledge of Microsoft Azure preferably PAAS and SAAS
  • Strong knowledge in ITIL practices in the area of Incident, Release, and Change and Problem management.
  • Effective in handling communications across business and technology partners at varying levels across a medium to large scale enterprise.
  • Prior experience in large scale enterprise application support, capacity planning, optimization, re-engineering, performance fine-tuning and cost optimization
  • Demonstrate accountability, independent initiatives and willingness to lead and work with teams across multiple locations
  • Flexible and being able to handle time effectively.
  • Ability to manage change and release implementation, review and sign off on the all application related changes and ensure all the changes are deployment within the timeline and post implementation validation are performed.
  • Excellent strategic analysis, problem solving, issue resolution and decision-making skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships in a multi-cultural environment across all levels within the business.

    • Programming Languages and Middleware
  • A good understanding of one or more scripting languages, e.g. PowerShell, Python, etc
  • XML, API, JSON SOAP, REST, etc
  • Ideally EDMS systems such Columbus Macro4
  • Ideally Azure Services
  • Ideally Workflow/RPA systems
  • Able to work and understand a variety of different core business applications and platforms
