Job Description

Link3 are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant required to start ASAP at a Secondary School located in Mansfield, NottinghamThis is an ongoing position until the end of the academic year.Responsibilities:

  • The role requires that you support the pupils and work closely alongside the classroom teacher with planning, assessments and the childrens progress.
  • You may be required to deliver lessons to small groups or work 1:1 with children with SEN (ADHD ASD, attachment issues, SEMH).
  • This role requires flexibility as you could be working anything from 1 day to 1 term, we are seeking a well-rounded individual that would be confident delivering lessons to a full class if required.

Requirements:
  • A good sense of humor.
  • The ability to relate and communicate well with young people is essential.
  • Minimum Level 2 or above in childcare/teaching and learning or have had previous experience of working as a teaching assistant with experience of working 1:1 with children with special needs or behavioral difficulties.
  • Have a positive approach to managing behavior and be passionate about your subject which is evident in your teaching.
  • Applicants will be subject to pre-employment checks and should hold current DBS checks registered to the update service.
