Job Description

Role: Healthcare Software Project ManagerLocation: Hybrid, mainly remote with visits to Mansfield HQ up to 2 days per weekSalary: £50k + 5-10% Bonus + Significant Benefits PackageStart: ASAP, to start beginning of August ideallyAre you an experienced IT Software Project Manager, ideally with Heath-Tech/Med-Tech sector experience looking for a challenging and exciting new roleOur client are a leading Healthcare Software vendor who are investing in the re-development of two of their core products. You will ideally have experience outsourcing to Offshore Development Partners as they need someone to oversee the two projects. Youwill have the usual project management skills - cost management/burndown, project plan, dependencies, supplier management etc. and ideally you will have worked with Software Development partners in the past.The project will then transition into implementation post development. The timeline is aggressive as this is a last-minute addition to the investment projects, the development is likely to start beginning of Aug so we need someone before then ideally.Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project life cycle for selected projects
  • Deliver complex projects with varying size and budget
  • Report and manage project costs, resource burndown and cost forecasts
  • Manage all project communication, ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed of progress
  • Act as a point of escalation for team members
  • Produce and maintain project documentation in accordance with PRINCE2 methodology (e.g. Project Initiation Document, Highlight reports, Project Plans etc)
  • Working with Agile methodologies with both external and internal software development teams
  • Ensure project documents and sign offs on all phases of work are complete and current
  • Facilitate internal project definition workshops at kick off and update all internal tickets for projects to maintain comms to technical teams throughout the project
  • Ensure all post project activities are completed and the project closure checklist is completed
  • Preparation and presentation of weekly highlight reports highlighting any contentious issues / risks and Project RAG status
  • Maintain the projects risk log and managing exposure to associated risks.
Required Experience
  • Strong IT Project Management skills and experience
  • Working knowledge of both Agile and Prince II methodologies
  • Delivering Software into a Healthcare setting
  • Excellent organisational and documentation skills
  • Good understanding of delivering Software and IT infrastructure projects
  • Strong Project Governance
  • Strong risk management and control experience RAID etc
  • Strong Methodical Project Manager
  • Excellent at managing project against their budgets
  • Experience of business change management
  • Responsible and conscientious professional
