Eventus Legal are seeking a Family law Solicitor to join the Family department of a well-established, multi-office firm in Mansfield.Role responsibilitiesThe incoming Solicitor will take on a busy caseload of complex matters. You will be responsible for providing advice and representation in all aspects of family matters and will manage a varied and complex caseload. There will be an established caseload however, any transferable cases or clients will be appreciated. You be responsible for conducting your own advocacy so experience of this is preferred.Person specificationYou will be required to cover all areas of Family Law but particularly:• Divorce/Civil Partnership Dissolution• Children Arrangements• Financial and property issues on divorce or separation• Pre-nuptial, separation and cohabitation agreements• Domestic violence casesThe position would ideally suit a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive or equivalent with at least 1-5 years PQE;Legally aided and private work is undertaken and a knowledge of the legal aid system is desirable;Court work and advocacy will be required;The candidate will take over a busy caseload;The ideal candidate for this role must have the following:1-5 years post qualification experience in family lawThe successful candidate will undertake duties including but not limited to:• Meeting new clients, taking instructions and advising;• Conducting their own caseload of family work in an efficient manner;• Drafting all documents as required;• Using Legal Aid CCMS for applications, amendments, billing;• Representing clients at Court and conducting own advocacy;• Instructing Counsel and experts;• Liaising and building links with agencies such• Supporting other members of the team where required;• Networking in order to assist in the expansion of the office.RewardsThis vacancy offers the opportunity to work alongside a well-established, highly reputable team.
