Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Welder/Fabricator to join a UK company that manufactures leading technology relays and medium voltage circuit breakers for highly critical electrical power systems across a global client base.They are a long-established company that can offer the right candidate good personal and career development.This Welder/Fabricator role is hands-on and varied, suiting a person with a strong technical and capable approach. You will be manufacturing fabricated sheet metal components and other items to a high standard in mild steel.We are looking for a Welder/Fabricator who has the following skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working in a similar industry with 2mm and 3mm sheet steel and familiarity with performing punching, bending, and welding operations.
  • An excellent eye for detail.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings in both 3rdand 1stangle projection.
  • Experienced in the use of turret/punch machine with CNC interface.
  • Experience in the use of press brake with CNC interface MiG and tig welding.
  • Spot welding.
  • The skill to use hand and power tools
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Good time management.
  • Pro-active approach to tasks.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on your own and within a team.
  • Good basic Maths and English would be required for this role preferable GCSE grades C andabove.
  • Electronic/Electrical or Mechanical City & Guilds qualification would be advantageous
