Summary Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as a Welcome & Service Assistant, plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service. The contracted hours for these roles are 22.5 hours or 15 hours per week. The Viaduct isopen 7 days a week, so regular weekend working is expected. We also regularly host evening events, which you will occasionally be required to support. However, we have a very flexible approach to working patterns and will do our very best to adapt to you asmuch as reasonably possible. What its like to work here Were a bit different at Castlefield Viaduct - were a new property with a new team, delivering a unique pilot scheme. Youll be joining us at a very exciting time.Were a small team but we work within a wider context.As well as welcoming visitors to the viaduct, we also deliver community engagement and programming on and off site. Your main priority will be delivering excellent customer service and an outstandingvisitor experience. However, you will also engage with stakeholders, local communities, and national and regional teams to help us to achieve the ambitions for the project.Please note that we are a city centre site, and therefore there is currently no on-site staff parking available. What youll be doing As the largest conservation charity in Europe we work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so youll be responsible for ensuring that you provide excellent serviceto all our visitors, every day.As a Welcome & Service Assistant at Castlefield Viaduct, its your role to introduce our visitors to this exciting pilot project through a bespoke tour and conversation. Youll be setting them up for an amazing experience and encouraging them to supportthe future of the viaduct. Importantly, youll be gathering and recording their opinions and feedback to feed into the possible evolution of the project.Youll be responsible for answering questions and making sure visitors can find everything they need. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. Working with our spirit of place, youll work with the visitor welcome team to link everythingwe do back to our cause and our work.Youll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.
