Job Description

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and hard-working person with a positive attitude for the position of Warehouse supervisor to undertake various duties.Duties will include:

  • Supervision of warehouse and transport staff.
  • Scheduling site deliveries ensuring the efficient use of all delivery vehicles.
  • Monitoring stock levels & liaising with purchasing to replenish stocks.
  • Accepting deliveries and processing associated paperwork.
  • Safe loading and unloading of vehicles, avoiding damage to persons, stock or equipment.
  • Ensuring relevant health and safety practices are maintained in the warehouse and workshop.
  • Maintaining the commercial vehicle fleet log.
  • Ensuring high standards of yard / warehouse security and cleanliness.
The successful applicant will have the following skills / experience:
  • Experience within a shopfitting joinery or builders merchant environment.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Excellent administration / planning skills with good attention to detail.
  • Valid Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance).
  • C1 licence entitlement to drive 7.5t vehicles
  • Highly adaptable, resilient, and tenacious with high levels of energy and drive
  • Physically fit, as this will involve lifting heavy building materials.
