With our core values we ensure you contribute to Booking.com’s mission in the best way you can.What youll be doing as our Vulnerability Analyst:Your primary responsibility will be for the identification and resolution of vulnerabilities via our VM programs, Application Security Reviews, Penetration testing, Bug Bounty and security tooling. In addition to this you will also be leading the way in shaping and creating a new measure of our own vulnerability assessment/scoring (we use CVSS currently), owning and running this yourself. You’ll be carrying out a lot of the following:
  • Analyse datasets, support alerts and response activities to a goal to mitigate risk
  • Provide data driven insights on operational work deliverables
  • Quality triaging and analysing vulnerabilities reports
  • Provide data driven insights into improvement efforts on vulnerability management programs
  • Actively collaborate with our stakeholders to implement the end to end vulnerability management lifecycle
  • Perform validation of moderately to highly complex security reports
  • Provide proactive recommendations to stakeholders to determine the best course of action to respond to vulnerabilities
  • Drive the remediation process to ensure vulnerable assets are patched or remediated within agreed SLAs
  • Proactively research new methods, tools, and strategies to effectively identify vulnerabilities
  • Recommend new policies and procedures to management and compliance.
    • Your Experience:You don’t need to have every single skill/tool listed, but you should be experienced with most of the below. Of course you will learn forever at Booking.com, we will provide training to fill any gaps!
  • Intermediate level of understanding regarding systems security and applications security at both technical and procedural level
  • Good Understanding of web application vulnerabilities (OWASP)
  • Good Understanding of infrastructure vulnerabilities
  • Understanding of DAST & SAST tools
  • Understanding of penetration testing and results (including scoping and organizing of pen tests, use of vulnerability scanners, vulnerability management tools, Bug Bounty etc.
  • Good understanding of application & infrastructure security tooling integration with CI/CD pipelines of applications
  • Ability to collaborate and work with other teams to resolve & remediate vulnerabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to share knowledge and to communicate effectively with different stakeholders
  • Stakeholder management with Vendors to communicate challenges and gaps is technology
  • Case management to support external tooling e.g. vendors for vulnerability identification
