VisualFiles Developer A fantastic opportunity has arose with our client, an award winning law firm based in the heart of Manchester City Centre for a VisualFiles Developer to join their IT department. I am seeking applications from candidates with a previous Legal IT background, VisualFiles Development experience is desirable however external and on-going training will be provided on VisualFiles. This role will be demanding therefore will suit a career focused individual who is keen to learn and determined to progress within a modern and progressive law firm.Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time Salary: £17k - £20k (Depending on Experience) Main Duties? To undertake Visualfiles development in accordance with the agreed Visualfiles schedule of work, completing all elements on time and in budget.? To co-ordinate and prioritise tasks that have been assigned and to ensure delivery of projects on time and to required standard.? Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, adhering to (or working as closely as possbile to) the Agile development approach.? To proactively suggest improvements that could be made to the software and/or working practices.? Development of solutions or fixes where appropriate.? Support the end users in the use of the applications.? Weekly administrative tasks.? Work closely with other members of the IT development and support teams to offer integrated solutions.? Provide training support where applicable.? To work with end users to identify and develop solutions to problems as they arise.? To regularly update the Business Systems Manager with progress of work and any related issues.? To research new development methods and investigate changes in relevant IT areas outside of Visualfiles.? To adhere to company standards, policies and procedures at all times.? To contribute positively to departmental and firm-wide activities.Experience? Relevant IT studies in further or higher education.? Knowledge of Visualfiles/Case Management applications development.? Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.? Familiar with other scripting languages, ideally HTML, XML, .Net, VBA for Word / Excel.Personal Traits? A flexible individual with good planning skills.? Attention to detail.? Professional and credible with technical and non-technical people.? Good team player, with the ability to work alongside others but also on their own to specified deadlines.? Ability to work under pressure.? Good sense of humour.?
