Job Description

Prospero are working with a successful Live Events Production company based in the Manchester area.They are one of the UKs leading event production and AV rental companies supplying a wide range of products and services to the live events industry, mainly in the UK but also overseas.They offer a full-service technical solution for our clients and house an extensive and varied stock across all areas of technical production including sound, lighting, vision, rigging, set & stage, scenic and power distribution.Since Covid-19 pandemic they have invested significant resource in to developing their virtual and hybrid event offering and we are now building a strong reputation in this field.They are now looking an enthusiastic vision engineer / live events technician to join their team. The successful applicant will be an experienced video engineer and have hands on experience working in the live events sector. The successful candidate willalso be at home in a fast paced, hands on environment and thrive under pressure.KEY ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Rigging and operating video equipment for live, virtual and hybrid events.
  • The ability to lead a team of freelance staff and represent the company.
  • Communicating with clients, suppliers, venue staff and crew both onsite and prior to an event.
  • Preparing and maintaining equipment in our warehouse spaces.
  • Working with the head of vision to continue developing, maintaining and improving the vision department.
  • Delivering / collecting equipment in company vehicles.
  • Assistance in other departments to meet the needs of the business.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a video engineer in the live events industry particularly in the corporate sector.
  • Knowledge and live event experience using Barco Event Master screen management systems.
  • Knowledge and live event experience using presentation switchers.
  • Knowledge and experience with modular LED screen and associated processing.
  • Knowledge and experience with Panasonic projectors.
  • Extensive knowledge and live event experience using presentation and video playback software.
  • Knowledge and experience of live streaming events and video communication solutions.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or unaccompanied under own initiative.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure of a live event.
  • High standard of personal presentation.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to problem solve and to work to deadlines.
  • High self-motivation and ability to lead by example.
  • Flexibility and a can do, customer focused attitude.
  • Keen eye for detail with a high standard of equipment presentation.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own transport.
WORKING HOURS If you have the experience, we are looking for then you will already know that this is not a 9 till 5 job. Due to the nature of our industry, we require our employees to have a flexible approach to their working hours. Weekend work will be required. We tryhard to manage a work life balance for our team.HOLIDAYS
  • 28 days per year
  • After 3 years continuous service you will receive your birthday off (day off can be taken within 7 days of your birthday)
  • After 5 years continuous service you will receive a further days holiday
