Were seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Reconciliation I to join our RCOE Governance & Oversight and Reporting Team team. This role is located in Manchester UK. We are looking for someone that is control focused, has a proactive approach with good attention to detail and is analytically minded. Effective communication skills are a must and have the confidence and ability to escalate potential risks to both peers andsenior management whilst working in a fast-paced environment. In this role, youll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enhance and expand the risk governance framework model.
  • Produce and deliver timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop new reports/dashboards and methods of presenting data.
  • Contribute to ongoing initiatives to standardise and streamline reporting to drive efficiency and automation.
  • Review work of other team members to ensure accuracy of data and high standard of commentary.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for escalation.
  • Build solid understanding of the reconciliations undertaken within operations and become a subject matter expert providing guidance and responding to queries.
  • Presents data analysis conclusions, recommendations, and updates to initiatives to senior management.
  • Participate in audit, risk, and control investigations.
  • Reviewing and update policies.
  • Contribute to the achievement of teams goals.
  • Work closely with the reconciliations teams, lines of business, risk, control, technology and senior management (up to Executive level).
  • Being an integral part of the go to team for systems, process & automation change.
To be successful in this role, were seeking the following: Essential responsibilities:
  • Experience in financial services
  • Experience in a reporting, control or risk-based function
  • Team player who is able to produce high quality, accurate output under tight timescales
  • Good analytical skills, including ability to extract data, analyse and interpret it.
  • Problem solving and management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and a result commited approach
  • Organised and able to manage workload efficiently
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Continuous improvement mindset (Automation & Transformation)
  • Appetite to continuously learn and develop
  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline or engineering/sciences or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 7-10 years of total work experience preferred.
Preferred:
  • Project management skills
  • Reconciliation experience
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and willing to develop further
  • Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and advanced Excel skills (VBA, macros, etc) would be an advantage.
