Job Description

Vault OfficerManchester, Salary: £30,641.00 per annum, 45 hours working week, Permanent PositionWhat is this role of a Vault Officer Contributing to the safe and secure control and recording of all cash, valuables, equipment and keys within the secure areas of the branch.What will I be doing as a Vault Officer

  • Secure and safe keeping of all cash and valuable assets entrusted to the role.
    1. Branch reported discrepancies.
    2. Routine vault handover and balances.
    3. Employee covert and overt observations.
  • Accurate recording and receipting of all inward and outward movements of cash and valuable assets, including those held within the branch.
    1. Branch managers self-audit.
    2. Regional managers quarterly audit.
    3. GTAS data entry
  • Accurately control and record all equipment and keys issued and received.
    1. Branch managers self-audit.
    2. Regional managers quarterly audit.
    3. EKCS 01.
    4. Key audits.
  • Maintain Health, Safety and Security procedures within your workplace as directed by the current business work instructions.
    1. Branch management teams daily compliance checks.
    2. Branch managers self-audit.
    3. Regional managers quarterly audit.
  • Maintain and accurately record business operational and compliance related documents.
    1. Branch management teams daily compliance checks.
    2. Branch managers self-audit.
    3. Regional managers quarterly audit.
  • To conduct cash processing activities as directed by the current business work instructions.
    1. Branch reported discrepancies.
    2. GTAS reports.
    3. Operational documentation.
    4. Branch managers self-audit.
    5. Regional managers quarterly audit.
    6. Six monthly security management audit.
  • Maintain personal security standards and retention of SIA and driving licensing.
    1. SIA licensing checks.
    2. DP20 mandate checks.
    3. Tiger Kidnap training.
  • Routine and mandatory EDGE training as directed by the business.
    1. Undertaking all relevant mandatory training required.
    2. Personal EDGE training record.
  • When operationally required will carry out any other CVIT role as directed by the branch management team.
What Will I Need to Succeed as a Vault Officer Must Haves;
  • CPC training for HGV.
  • Minimum of Class C entitlement on driving license.
  • SIA license.
  • IT competencies.

  • Clear and concise written and oral communication.
  • Ability to work within a team environment as well as lone working.
