Job Description

Scope:Consult Search are in exclusive partnership with one of the most innovative, global leading medical companies that are constantly expanding across EMEA via the introduction of new roles and innovation within their medical technology business.We are in search for a UK Logistics/Warehouse Manager to lead their two operations in the UK, this role is critical and time sensitive looking for individuals that can be available from mid-January 2021.We will consider individuals from a Warehouse or Logistics Leadership position from heavily regulated industries including Medical, Pharma, Biotech, Food, FMCG.Responsibilities:

  • Manage 3rd party warehouses within the UK whilst aligning processes within EMEA and 3PLs to arrange global shipments
  • Implementation of processes and tools to improve the overall performance of the department
  • Evaluates and manages team performance by ensuring all team members have relevant SMART goals.
  • Review and drive value-add efficiency improvements across all UK logistic functionalities
  • Responsible for developing, managing and meeting departmental budget and drive cost savings initiatives
  • Leads projects to deliver continuous improvement in order to meet company’s strategic growth and efficiency objectives Improve the inbound and outbound logistics process as well as inventory control
  • Manage work area’s H&S responsibilities
  • Oversee department operations and trouble shoot problems; by collaborating with other departmental managers and department subject matter experts
  • Ensure a training plan is in place and executed for all existing and new employees which includes having update appropriate record keeping of department training records within company training system
  • Support quality management systems including, MRB and CAPA meetings, NCR investigations and product dispositions
  • Participate in Management reviews and implement KPI’s to drive continuous improvement and deliver LEAN process system and controls
  • Management of all export and import operations and movement of equipment, products and technical data, to include customs clearance, claims facilitation and co-ordination of shipping delays
  • Act as International Trade Compliance Officer for Manchester site
  • Review, update, create and implement changes as appropriate to departmental operating procedures.
  • About You:
  • At least >5 years’ experience in logistics and warehouse environment, one year of which should be in a manager capacity working in a multiple task-warehousing environment.
  • Change management capabilities
  • Demonstrable experience of applying warehouse and logistic principles and techniques to effectively manage staging of work orders, cycle count programs, receipt and processing of purchase orders, processing of outbound customer orders and troubleshooting of minor problems.
  • Working and managing global trade compliance for export and import of materials
  • Management of site relationship between 3PL sites and inter-company customer service
  • Experience in Cold Chain and management of Supply Chain of highly regulated products
  • Experience in parcel services and spare parts management
  • Proficient in excel, experience using BI tools e.g. QlikView
  • Conversant with ERP systems like Oracle / SAP and Planning forecasting software’s
  • Experience in Pharma, medical devices, food or regulated products supply chains
