Job Description

Leading, Manchester based provider of travel solutions to the Film & Music industry is expanding again and has an amazing opportunity for a Travel & Tourism graduate to take the first step in a corporate travel career! Or perhaps if you work in leisure traveland would love the opportunity to move into corporate travel, but not just any corporate travel, travel for artist & bands, festivals and gigs! Working in their Manchester City Centre offices, this is a support role for the team that facilitate the travelfor the Music Industry. Starting salary is circa £20k pa, with the opportunity to develop into a Tours Consultant and progress on your salary and career!JOB DESCRIPTION:Working as a Tours Assistant supports the Touring Team to delivery comprehensive and high-quality service. Supporting on administration and financial tasks, with a personal and individual approach. This role has the responsibility for supporting the fulfilmentof tour travel logistics in accordance with company and client policy. This position is part of a wider development plan to become a fully-fledged Tours Specialist

  • Create basic tour movement sheets ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout.
  • Book basic travel arrangements with supervision as requested.
  • Help design and create detailed PowerPoint presentations for artist hotels.
  • Use the functions of GDS and other applicable system tools or software
  • Complete all Desktop files accurately.
  • Carry out weekly reporting tasks.
  • Support negotiations to get the best rates from suppliers in order to maximise savings, reduce client expenditure and increase company profitability.
  • Attend agreed and relevant training and Lunch & Learn sessions, familiarisations, supplier presentations and events etc. to expand and maintain comprehensive industry and product knowledge.
  • Engage daily with Microsoft Teams to ensure awareness of important team communication.
  • Build the necessary skills and knowledge to develop and progress into a Tour Specialist position.
  • Log and report any supplier favours or gifts to departmental management.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:We are seeking an ambitious and personable Graduate in a Tourism related degree, who has excellent customer service, organisation and communication skills. You will be keen to learn and keen to grow in the role. If you are currently working (or have recentlyworked) in another sector of the Travel Industry and would love to move into this Tour Assistant role, changing the direction of your travel career, then we are keen to hear from you tooTHE PACKAGE:Starting salary is £20k - £21k pa, however this will increase as you progress, learn more and move onto a Tour Consultant role.
