Job Description

A national financial advisory business working with individuals, businesses and professions is seeking an experienced development manager to join their accomplished team.The role will involve developing and training the paraplanning team with ongoing business needs and induction content trading. This involves:

  • Design, implementation, and delivery of individual and group training activity
  • Development training and coaching of established paraplanners to enable them to achieve their best
  • Support new entrants to the company to understand requirements, processes and company standards
  • Monitoring adherence to policies and processes, assessing skills and knowledge, and identifying risks and training needs accordingly
Working closely with senior management, this is a varied role requiring a client-focused approach, commercial acumen, IT skills, sound judgement and organisational skills.There will be travel within the UK, and the company can offer a hybrid working structure.To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Experience of working in a regulated Financial Services environment
  • Experience in the construction of financial planning advice, either in an advisory, paraplanning or research capacity
  • Experience in the construction of client-facing suitability reports
  • Ability to demonstrate the required level of technical knowledge and application of qualifications in the IFA environment
  • Detailed understanding of retail finance, including protection products, investments, pension products and tax planning solutions
