Job Description

An industry leading independent training provider is looking to recruit an excellent Trainer/Assessor, with experience in Health & Safety, to deliver a Level 4 Industry specific Technical Manager Apprenticeship, on a permanent full-time startingASAP. The apprenticeship is for the Mental Recycling sector, however due to this sector being so niche, the client needs to consider Trainer/Assessors from related industry sectors such as: Waste recycling, Site Management, Environmental, Engineering, Plant Mechanicsor Plant Maintenance.The company has a proven track record in providing a range of outstanding work-based training and assessment solutions to regional and national employers within the waste, recycling and resource management sectors.They are looking for an Apprenticeship Tutor/Trainer to support and guide their learners successfully through their programmes and achieve their qualifications. They believe in a blended approach to delivery, so some sessions will take place remotely withthe use of video conferencing packages. However, its important they meet the needs of all learners and there are still occasions where content delivery will need to take place face to face, so although the successful candidate will be homebased, the willingnessto travel is must.Key Responsibilities and DutiesEnsure all learners receive the highest quality experience in line with company expectations and external requirements.Plan and deliver a training programme that ensures a robust ILP and regular reviews of learner progress, providing timely, meaningful and specific feedback to learners to support progression.Facilitate learning for learners, adhering to the standards of the apprenticeship programme to ensure consistency and fairness throughout all teaching, learning and assessment delivery techniques.Ensure all learner records and reporting is kept up to date and provided in a timely manner to support management reporting and audit requirementLiaise with our Functional Skills tutor to support achievement and develop the embedding of Functional Skills within your contextual deliveryParticipate in quality assurance activities working closely with the quality teamProvide robust exit advice to learners as they set personal goals for career progressionMaintain and enhance relationships with learners, clients and business customersDeliver KPIs in line with Company expectationsKey Performance Indicators

  • Maintain a caseload of learners
  • Retention and achievement rates of your cohort
  • Regular contact with learners and employers in-line with programme requirements and MET Academy guidelines
Salary & Benefits
  • The salary for this position ranges from £35,000 - £50,000
  • Holiday - 23 days + Bank Holidays
  • Car allowance of £5000 + fuel card
  • An option for some working from home
To be considered, suitable candidates will need to meet the following criteria:Essential Criteria
  • A Teaching or Training qualification at Level 3 or above (or willingness to work towards)
  • Relevant vocational experience
  • NEBOSH Level 4
  • Teaching or Training experience in a similar field (desirable)
  • Access to a car with a full UK driving license
  • Right to live and work in the UK
