Job Description

A permanent days based (7am - 3.15pm) Tool Maker (Repairs) is required for an injection moulding business in Manchester. This role joins an existing team and will pay up to £36k plus benefits with overtime available.Client DetailsThe client is a plastic injection moulding business in Manchester.DescriptionAs a Tool Maker (Repairs) you will be responsible for:

  • Day-to-day repair and maintenance to the plastic injection mould tools
  • Ensuring the tooling records are correctly maintained
  • Ensuring the repair hours are correctly allocated to the correct mould or job via time sheets.
  • Recommending improvements where possible.
  • Deputising in the morning production meeting, estimating repair time lines, to support production as required.
ProfileThe successful Tool Maker will have:
  • previously worked in a similar repair tool making position - ESSENTIAL
  • worked in a fast paced plastic injection moulding environment previously - ESSENTIAL
  • a good working knowledge of plastic injection mould manifold systems such as Husky, Mould Masters, Fast Heat, Hasco, and Gunter - ESSENTIAL
  • strong communication skills - ESSENTIAL
