Job Description

Third-Party Claims Quality Controller(Office based 2 days a week) and work from home (3 days a week)Who are weWere one of the UKs largest managing general agents, supporting over 1,000 broker partners and more than 3 million policyholders with a wide variety of insurance products. What will my duties be Due to the continued success and expansion of the Group, we are now looking to recruit a Third Party Quality Controller to join our dynamic and forward-thinking teams.Responsibilities

  • Undertake standard and hot topic Monthly audits within agreed parameters.
  • Maintain audit records and databases, following up on identified issues to ensure resolution/feedback is given.
  • Identify areas of leakage.
  • Assist the QC Team Leader and QC & MI Analytics Manager in completing a monthly audit report
  • Ensure feedback with recommendations is provided to the handler via the agreed feedback process
  • Deliver against agreed objectives, volumes, and timescales and meet agreed service and performance targets
  • Maintain knowledge in a specialist area, understanding how legislation developments affect claim handling, along with any changes in process/procedures and TP claims Best Practise.
  • Conversant with financial implications of claim reserving and settlements. Identify, record, and feedback any areas of issue, weakness, or inconsistency
  • Maintain knowledge in the specialist area to improve understanding of technical issues
  • Support through identification and feedback that claims are handled within set guidelines and procedures
  • Maintain existing MI and Audit Databases to report and analyse results of audits and reviews.
What were looking for:
  • Minimum of 3 years motor claims handling experience (including personal injury)
  • Full technical and product knowledge along with a financial understanding of claim reserving and settlements
  • Interpretation of Management Information to enable decision making
  • An understanding of the main principles of English and Scottish law as it applies to the technical claims environment
  • Fully conversant of the Road Traffic Act and the implications of being an RTA/Article 75 insurer
  • Conversant with current case law and awards
  • Report writing and ability to analyse outcomes and MI.
  • Intermediate knowledge in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and other relevant packages
What are the salary and hours 35 hours per week, 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday.
