• As a QA Engineer, youll play the role of quality champion across all aspects of this development. Youll take responsibility for QA engineering practices and outputs, with a shift-left mentality, ensuring early detection and low regression of defects.
• Take ownership of testing strategy in the team
• Lead on testing best practices to build quality applications
• Triage bugs and issues
• Drive continuous delivery practices to deliver high-quality software as well as value to end customers as early as possible
• Write automated tests to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are maintained
• Learn and adapt new technologies and introduce new testing tools to the project
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the group QA test strategy and process
• Be an active member of the wider tech community within Awaze

What will you offerWere looking for an experienced QA Engineer, experienced in various technologies who loves nothing more than solving problems in a collaborative, agile development environment.Youll enjoy working in pairs (maybe sometimes a mob), you thrive in an autonomous product engineering, enjoy working with international teams and offer experience in a number of the following:

• Experience in writing automated tests for data pipelines (or equivalent experience against backend services/APIs/contracts).
• Experience with using modern development tools such as Git, CI/CD, database change management.
• Experience working with Cloud infrastructure and managed services environment.
• Experience in or familiarity working within a data warehousing team or project.
• Excellent SQL (Snowflake and Microsoft SQL Server experience a plus).
• Experience with modern quality practices, such as pairing, TDD, BDD.
• Take requirements and integrate tests into an overall testing strategy.
