This employer is one of the worlds leading suppliers of high-technology products and services for the paper industry.At their Centre of Excellence manufacturing site based in South Manchester, they have an exciting new role within their Development Department.This challenging role is a perfect opportunity to become fully immersed into all aspects of the production process including design, manufacture, and compliance of technical textiles.You will be actively involved in the generation of new ideas and concepts and be part of the team responsible for the coordination of all weaving, heat-setting, seaming and finishing development trials.You will gain in depth, hands-on experience, where you can learn your craft and train with their Lead Designer. About you:The ideal candidate will have a degree or postgraduate qualification in textile design, materials science, textile technology or product design.Previous experience of textile design is preferred but not essential.You are a self-starter who can take charge, plan and execute with confidence.
