Job Description

Technical Support EngineerOur client is one of the largest independent providers of integrated healthcare technology management. They support the NHS and private healthcare organisations across multiple technologies - from biomedical equipment to advanced diagnostic imaging & radiology.They are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Support Engineer. You will be working alongside the UK Technical Support Manager to provide technical support for all departments across the UK. You will be expected to perform Health Checks onsites, including analysis of Biomedical technical activities, documentation, and overall performance in close.As the Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Actively Pursue and propose projects to improve existing business performance and promote new business areas.
  • Manage assigned projects from conception through to completion in line with agreed objectives.
  • Manage technical audit data consolidation - responsible for data accuracy, proper coding and uploading of contract data for new contracts.
  • Support the Sales functions with technical expertise and costing data as required.
  • Support high quality tender responses as requested ensuring all information is provided within the time limits specified.
  • Support the use of ANSUR at all sites through training, protocol creation/validation.
  • Provide training to UK colleagues on all systems as needed (eQuip, EPOD, RFID Discovery and ANSUR).
  • Work closely with Operations to establish and implement programs and training to improve in house capabilities.
  • Assess technical risks and mitigate them where appropriate.
  • To adhere to company policies, these may be amended from time to time, which will be notified.
  • Manage and assist the Technical Support Administrator to ensure all test equipment is managed and calibrated properly updating records in Equip as needed.
  • Actively work with the Technical Support Manager to reduce spending on medical equipment outsourcing.
Essential Skills:
  • HNC/D Electronics or equivalent
  • Previous OEM Biomed Equipment Training
  • Previous managerial experience
  • 8-10 years experience within the medical industry
  • Highly adaptable and able to work to tight deadlines and in small teams
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in working with Databases
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulatory requirements.
Desirable Skills:
  • SQL Programming
  • Knowledge of SQL Programming
  • Highly competent in MS Excel, Word, Visio
