Technical Sales Manager (Field)The Role: This is an outstanding opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer within the North West. You will be selling our clients extensive range of linear motion components, guides, bearings and track systems; as well as actuators forautomation assembly lines. You will be selling these directly to maintenance, design and project engineers within nuclear; aerospace; packaging; test equipment; pharma; and food & beverage industries.The Technical Sales Engineers focus will be on generating new business (75%), whilst responding to inbound support requests (25%). You will be supporting clients who need help with an application or specification for automation lines. As a Technical SalesEngineer you will visit the client and working through their system, or viewing the plans, identify where the gaps are and present solutions to complete the design system.Requirements: To be considered for the Area Sales Manager role you must have:
  • A strong understanding of mechanical engineering practices
  • Either a degree in an Engineering related field; or HNC/HND equivalent qualification
  • Sales experience within mechanical engineering environments
To be considered for the Area Sales Manager our client is seeking someone who is:
  • Business Development focused, with a determined attitude
  • Happy to work remotely, on the road; going out and making site visits
  • Able to look at a drawing board/plans on screen and grasp what it means
  • A strong negotiator who is confident with technical elements of the role
The Package for Area Sales Manager:
  • Basic: 36-42k
  • Bonus / OTE: 12k
  • Car: Hybrid (Potentially Octavia, Peugeot for example)
  • Holidays: 25 days (inc. 4 at Christmas)

So, the successful candidate must live within a commutable distance to these areas; and be prepared to cover clientsacross these areas.
