Job Description

If youre ready to start learning, growing and makingan impact with a career in fintech, wed like to know: Are you FIS About the team:Our team is responsible for the reconciliation of merchant payments, card scheme settlements and Worldpay accounts. We are looking for a newly qualified accountant or someone in the later stage of the qualifications to join our Scheme Reconciliations team. What you will be doing:This is a senior role in the team so you will support the team with complex reconciliations and balance sheets. You will delegate work and ensure objectives are met, sign off checklists for daily tasks and also feedback on any delays. You will be the first point of contact for queries and will lead on producing MI and reporting back data on aged items. You will have the opportunity to work on some small projects focused around fixing reconciliation balance sheets and charge backs and rejections Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation/ Verify WorldPay accounts/ statements in accordance with Reconciliation policy.
  • Supporting audit queries from the business.
  • Month end accounting responsibilities (accruals, posting & trial balances)
  • Some experience of making process improvements
  • Investigation and reporting of erroneous entries and rejected payments/ transactions.
  • Acquire specialist knowledge to provide accurate advice and information to both internal and external sources in a timely and professional manner, taking full ownership through to resolution.
  • Prioritise workload effectively throughout the day to ensure all SLAs are adhered to
  • Work as part of the team to ensure daily objectives are met.
  • Continually look for ways of improving processes, providing potential solutions and following through to implementation to deliver efficiencies.
What you bring:
  • Proven track record of large-scale reconciliations
  • Balance sheet accounting experience
  • Considerable finance-based systems experience and proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience managing and reporting on large volumes of data
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Passion for attention to detail and getting it right first time
  • Able to prioritise and deliver to deadlines, adaptable to changing priorities
  • Able to manage multiple queries at one time, determined and able to persist through problems and resolve queries
  • Comfortably and confidently engage with other team members and stakeholders
Added bonus if you have:
  • Qualification in ACCA or CIMA
  • Payments, acquiring or finance industry experience
