Job Description

Major Healthcare is a specialist recruitment consultancy, providing quality permanent, contract and temporary staffing solutions to clients from our wide network of UK offices.We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and passionate Team Leaders to work within a challenging young peoples service in Wythenshawe, Manchester. You will be working with young adults whom have a diagnosis of Learning Disabilities, ChallengingBehaviour and Physical Disabilities.Key Responsibilities for Team Leader are:

  • Provide caring and supportive behavioural management services to children and young people accommodated in the various Childrens Homes.
  • Lead, manage and motivate your team.
  • Prepare and operate a rota system that will ensure suitable levels of safety, security and care and oversight for the children cared for in your service.
  • Attend and prepare for childrens conferences, reviews, planning, core group and other meetings in connection with children placed with the Company.
  • Ensure the childrens records are maintained accurately and within agreed time-scales.
  • Deliver personal care when guided to by the young persons care plan.
  • Supervise your team in accordance with the Companys supervision policies.
  • Undertake delegated responsibilities allocated to you by your Registered Manager.
  • Attend and contribute to your own supervision sessions and appraisal processes.
  • Maintain all records in accordance with Company policy, regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Manage delegated budgets ensuring accurate record keeping and clear audit trail in line with Company Policy.
Successful Team Leaders must have:
  • QCF/NVQ Level 3 Children & Young Peoples Workforce.
  • MUST have experience working with children and young people within Residential Care setting.
  • Experience of working with young people with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team.
  • UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Clear understanding of Ofsted Regulations.
  • Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
The salary for Team Leader role is £23,322 - £25,350 depending on experience. Plus an additional £40.00 sleep in allowance which equates to an additional £4,160 based on 2 sleeps per week. Salary including sleep in allowance is £27,482 - £29,510.Additional benefits for Team Leader:
