Job Description

Looking ahead to the new academic year in September 2021, this secondary school based close to the centre of Manchester is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their SEN department, providing in class support. This role will primarily be focussed onproviding support to those vulnerable students in all year groups. As students will still be behind in their progress and attainment levels with a new cohort of year 7s coming through, this school are keen to put in place additional support for those studentsfocussing on Numeracy (and Literacy). There will also be the opportunity to work with students in small groups, specifically providing support and intervention.The successful individual should have relevant experience in supporting young people and be able to manage behaviour and be confident in their approach with students who arent particularly engaged in work.Highlights of this support position:

  • Pay will be competitive with the earning potential up to £1375 per month depending on prior experience in a similar role
  • Provide numeracy and literacy support to students aged 11 through to 16, starting ideally from Monday 6th September
  • Opportunity to gain a well-rounded experience as a support TA assisting in class, with smaller groups and on a one to one basis
