Job Description

Are you a learning mentor or youth worker with experience of working with teenagers with mental health needs Are you looking for a new full-time role in ManchesterTradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a graduate with experience of supporting students with additional behavioural needs to join the alternative provision of a secondary academy in north Manchester.This is a full-time temporary secondary behaviour support role paying up to £100 per day.The RoleBehaviour Mentor within the schools Alternative ProvisionFive days a weekSupporting small groups of students with additional needs including SEMH, ASD, behavioural needs and ADHD.Working collaboratively with SEN support team and the SENCOSupporting a broad curriculum based on key skills and ASDAN strategies.Supporting the senior leader responsible for behaviour.Working collaboratively with the childs team around the child.The SchoolLarge academy for students aged 11- 16 in north ManchesterOfsted Good Academy since November 2014Excellent facilities for teaching and learning."The school is a calm learning environment and pupils behaviour in lessons and at social times is good. Students with special educational needs do well. Those with moderate learning and behaviour difficulties make good progress from their various startingpoints"Easily accessible on public transport linksTo join us and be successful in this Behaviour Mentor role, you will need to:

  • a minimum of six weeks experience of working with children aged 11- 16 in the last 3 years supported by references
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
