We are looking for a passionate and motivated Support Worker who is keen to impact the lives of vulnerable young people and adults at risk of homelessness. You will join us in Palatine Road, Manchester on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of£20,200 Per Annum Plus Pension and Other Benefits.One of the biggest homelessness charities in the UK, for more than 30 years weve worked alongside young people facing homelessness. We offer accommodation, practical support and the wellbeing resources that the people we work with need to get back on theirfeet.TheSupport WorkerRole:In your role as aSupport Workeryou will be responsible for supporting our 16-21 year old residentsto move from hostel living to their own independent accommodation.You will be supporting young people to move towards independence and ensure that they are able to take control of decisions affecting their lives, as well as taking an active role in the upkeep of the physical spaces of the accommodation.You will provide one to one support to a small caseload of residents, addressing their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs and helping them progress towards independence. Additionally, you will support all residents by running group sessionsand activities within the hostel.Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent role. Your hours are likely to be on a rota of 07:30-15:00 and 14:30-22:00 including weekends to ensure that young people have full staff support during theirmost difficult times.What we are looking for in ourSupport Worker:You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.
