Job Description

Supply Chain Manager vacancy in Greater Manchester, suitable for someone with food manufacturing experience who is looking to take ownership of the supply planning function in a Leading Food BusinessClient DetailsMichael Page Procurement & Supply Chain are working with a highly successful Food business as they look to recruit a Supply Chain Planning Manager for their Greater Manchester operation.This opportunity comes as the business is continuing to grow and they are looking for a driven and passionate individual capable of managing a small team, delivering greater planning capabilities, and improvements systems and process.DescriptionThe Supply Chain Manager will primarily lead a growing team, liaise internally and externally customers to encourage and develop better planning activities for the business:

  • Provide guidance to the team on managing the production schedule in relation to Mid-Term-Plan, customer demand and supply variation. Work with team to determine efficient processs how and when to modify the original plan to server our customers.
  • Control and record stock levels and monitor inventory health and coordinate management of shelf life of products to team members
  • Provide feedback and supervision to all forecasting processes. Reconcile data for processes, and coach stakeholders on how to refine it e.g. forecast related issues, rolling sourcing plan etc
  • Uses broad knowledge of supply chain planning practices and procedures to develop and provide input to tactical sales and operations plans and other supply chain strategies
  • Accountable for direct performance management, talent development, succession planning and engagement of the team
  • Monitor and improve OTIF (on time, in full) performance
  • Communication on all operational planning levels with local stakeholders
ProfileSuccessful candidates will possess:
  • Proven track record in FMCG planning, ideally within the Food Industry
  • A hands-on management style with a proven skill set in managing, coaching and developing a team beneath you
  • An analytical mindset and a pragmatic problem-solving approach
  • A proven ability to work alongside colleagues in other departments to ensure cohesion across the business, with regards to new and existing supply chain activity
  • Solid background in planning, inventory, demand and S&OP
  • Comfortable at working with a fast paced environment
  • SAP experience would be beneficial
Job Offer
  • £55-65k, depending upon experience
  • Car Allowance, Bonus, Pens, 25days+BH
  • Site based role, with flexibility to WFH one/two days a week
