Job Description

With combined experience over 5 decades spanningacross electronics, electrical, heating and lighting markets, we pride ourselves in working in partnership with organisations world-wide to deliver integrated technology to improve working environments and transport systems.Our businesses cover electrical wholesale, energy management, data storage and connectivity, EV charging and traffic control systems, working across a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.This role sits within one of the businesses within the Group ESL - who are an electrical product trading business (ESL are a dynamic, innovative, and fast growing).Purpose of the Supply Chain AdministratorTo be part of the supply chain team booking and monitoring the inbound and outbound movement of goods in a fast paced, customer focused environment. Working closely with the team to provide first class support to the supply chain department and freight forwardersto ensure on time shipments inbound and outbound.The role is to help ensure that excellent customer service is provided while helping to ensure all appropriate import/export regulations are adhered to. This role requires a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills. Professional, confident,and totally reliable - this person will possess the ability to work effectively under pressure.Key Responsibilities - Supply Chain Administrator

  • Working closely with purchasing, sales, and finance teams to ensure goods are transported on time
  • Handling European groupage bookings and full/part loads from start to finish
  • Track and provide routing information for incoming and outgoing shipments from departure to arrival at correct destination.
  • Document process flows and procedures for the Import/Export Team
  • Responding to emails
  • Inputting data into excel and inhouse systems
  • Liaise between carriers, sales agents, and support team to obtain up to date shipping information
  • Provide transport companies with the relevant information to ensure customer and warehouse delivery requirements are met
  • Authorising carrier invoices
  • Monitoring carrier performance to ensure all shipments move as agreed
  • Calculating and using the current carrier rates in place
  • Dealing with customs import and export paperwork
  • Managing intercompany stock transfers between warehouses in multiple regions
  • Liaising with internal and 3PL warehousing teams.
  • Give back-office Administration support the Supply Chain Team
  • Input and maintain data
  • Manage large amounts of information, reviewing documents and data to ensure all details are correct and submitted in time
  • Build relationships and work collaboratively with internal Customers across the business, supporting them to make sure we’re getting things right first time and therefore give outstanding customer service as a result
  • Actively participate in identifying process improvements and logging them
