Job Description

Feel like being part ofA supplier management team that has a packed agenda ahead, supporting the business through transformation and project priorities with a strong emphasis on effective supplier managementThe role of Supplier Manager Lead is really important to us. You will lead the supplier management team to develop effective relationships that offer maximum value whilst mitigating supply chain risk and report to the business on how to minimise any disruptionsto the group from changes to our supply linesThis role will be based in our Manchester, Reading or Cardiff office however, you will be able to work a blend of both home and office each week. Youll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager, and colleagues through regular contact andvirtual interaction.What would your day look like

  • Developing and managing the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) approach, including Framework and Policy in line with regulatory guidelines and best practice
  • Developing an effective supplier management framework to ensure that the Banks suppliers have the most effective and appropriate supplier management strategies applied
  • Priming and supporting the Bank to meet PRA regulations on outsourcing and third party risk
  • Preparing the Bank for the changes in the way suppliers are managed with an effective communications plan and rollout
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes, emergent risks and market developments in so far as they affect our dealings with suppliers, analysing, summarising and relaying relevant detail to internal stakeholders where appropriate
  • Continuing to develop the supplier classification model, and ensure suppliers are classified appropriately so that the most appropriate oversight and monitoring approach can be applied to maintain supplier delivery and minimise risks
What do we expect of you
  • Held senior roles within supplier management teams and had direct experience managing third party suppliers and completed supplier lifecycle from Sourcing to Managing to Termination
  • Strong communications skills to present to senior stakeholders and gather supplier requirements from across the business at all levels and collate and analyse market data.
  • Led and managed supply teams previously where you have promoted a continuous improvement culture.
