Job Description

Studio Manager (12-month FTC) - Up to £42,000 plus bonus, pension, private healthcare and further benefitsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful Outdoors product retail business as a Studio Manager. The company is expanding rapidly as a result of its success to date and if you would like the opportunity to bring your expertise to a place where you can make your mark and develop your career then this could be the right opportunity for you.The role is a temporary fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of being made permanent towards the end of the duration of the contract however there is no guarantee of this at this stage.The Role as a Studio Manager:

  • Planning, managing, tracking and delivering all work that comes into and delivered out of the Design Studio.
  • Manage production of printed and online materials.
  • Manage resource and production of all POS requests.
  • Working closely with Creative Manager, the Studio Manager will have a clear understanding of the requirements of the business in order to plan multiple work-streams, balancing the creative vision and objectives with running an efficient, lean and effective team.
  • Manage the studio job management system.
  • Translate emailed ad hoc requests into trackable design briefs on the system.
  • Prioritise resource to maintain production schedules, tracking peak periods.
  • Maintaining and updating the creative standards on all point-of-sale items - through the SLPA system and designed items
  • Maintain a black book of creative freelance contacts, including specialists.
  • Managing a team of artworkers and freelancers when required.
  • Project manage the creation of own brand guidelines.
  • Liaise with own brand development teams on ad hoc packaging needs.
  • Maintain creative and photography calendars.
  • Ensuring a consistent quality of work is delivered that is on brand and on time.
  • Manage sign off of creative with stakeholders and being the first gate that creative must get through.
  • Proofread all artwork before sending to print.
  • Overseeing design projects to meticulously plan the end-to-end production and ensure a successful delivery.
  • Communicating effectively with suppliers (Model agencies, production companies, photographers, print suppliers, signage contractors etc).
  • Liaising with signage contractors, print suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure all required information is provided for efficient design execution of store POS requirements.
  • Support adhoc imagery requests and maintain image database.
  • Share photography to multichannel team in a timely manner for use online.
  • Arrange for images to be labelled with product IDs when back from shoots.
  • Plan and deal with administration of photoshoots.
  • About you:
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously at a detailed level.
  • Proficiency inputting together complex timelines in Excel, live tracking and communicate consequences of changes to relevant parties.
  • Adept in putting contingency planning in place to mitigate risk.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience in creative, print, digital and signage production environment
  • Ability to work under time pressure, be customer focussed and respond well to last minute changes.
  • Skills in retouching: colour correction and masking
  • Mac expert, Capture One, Adobe Suite, Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Excel and Word Skills
  • Adobe CS (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
