The Role of the Strategic Account Manager Interventional Urology
  • As a Strategic Account Manager you will be selling an innovative portfolio of implants to help men who suffer from erectile disfunction.
  • This is very niche, only 3 players in this market. You would be working for the leader 75-80% Market share in UK!
  • You will be responsible for achieving territory sales objectives through field-based selling activities which include cultivating business partnerships with key decision makers, product in-services, as well as driving market share and sales growth.
  • You will manage your territory in a strategic manner, splitting your time between key accounts and growth opportunities
  • You will be proactively getting in front of and building long term relationships with decision makers such as Andrologists and theatre managers, challenging the Status Quo and identifying opportunities to win business and maximise sales revenue.
  • You will be covering a region which is the North and includes Edinburgh, Glasgow and down to Birmingham and Leicester in the South.
  • In reality there are only 10 centres across this region so whilst there is travel and some overnight stays involved there is a good balance of being home based/downtime.
  • It’s a market leader however there is still massive potential across this region for growth.

  • £55-65k basic salary

The Ideal Person for the Role of the Strategic Account Manager Interventional Urology
  • Must have Surgical Implant Sales background.
  • This could be from Orthopaedics, Spinal, Neuro, Cardiac, ENT, etc .
  • Most of the team are ‘Orthopaedic refugees’ looking for a better life balance and a more ‘niche’ portfolio.
  • Must have a proven track record of building partnerships with surgeons and other senior decision makers.
  • Someone with a ‘spark’, intelligence and knows how to ‘Own the operating theatre’
  • Someone who can train and support scrub staff to prepare devices.
  • Someone who can influence and be strategic in developing business opportunities
