Job Description

Job Title: Stores PersonLocation: Trafford Park, ManchesterSalary: Competitive rates of payJob type: Permanent, Part time - 07.30am - 5.00pm (1 hour lunch) Monday, Thursday and FridayThe Company, part of a larger group, is a specialist design, installation, testing and maintenance contractor, within the electrical earthing, lightning protection and height safety market.Operating nationally, the business focuses on providing top quality safety-critical services for the protection of people, buildings and infrastructure.Theyre a successful, growing company that is looking for talented employees who want to work in an environment that is challenging and rewarding.Role Overview:As the dedicated stores person for the Manchester branch, you will be required to:

  • Maintain stock levels (placing orders with suppliers, taking receipt of deliveries and off-loading materials via FLT)
  • Pick materials for engineer collection from the warehouse in a timely manner, combined with ensuring the stores area is maintained in a safe, clean and organised manner
  • Keep company IT systems up-to-date to reflect booking in/out of issued materials
  • Ensure equipment inspections such as PA testing, ladder/harness/lanyard inspections/ calibration records are up-to-date and the company IT systems reflect the same (full training will be provided) as required
  • Carryout monthly vehicle inspections and site audits on engineers to ensure company SHEQ standards are upheld
    • The Candidate:
  • You will need to be self-motivated with a "roll your sleeves up" attitude
  • Possessing a background within the construction industry, with experience of general stores and an understanding, you will thrive on problem solving tasks and display excellent organisational and IT skills
  • A driving licence is essential
  • A forklift licence (category - B1 counterbalance (up to and inc 5 tonne)) would also be an advantage but not essential
  • A CSCS card would also be an advantage but not essential
