A leading pawnbroker is looking for a Store Manager to join their team in Longsight. As Store Manager, you will be responsible for running the day to day operations of the store including driving sales and team management.This is a great opportunity for a sales and customer serviced focused Store Manager, who ideally has a background in pawnbroking, jewellery or buy and sell retail. You will be a hands-on Manager, with the ability to train and develop staff to deliver excellent customer service in order to drive sales and maximise profits. You will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in your store.As Store Manager for this pawnbroker your responsibilities will include:*Managing all front of house and back of house operations including visual presentation, stock control, back office systems, management reporting, health & safety and security*Offering excellent customer service at all times*Buying and selling goods such as jewellery, gold and electricals- ensuring all goods are priced as per company procedure, maximising margin where possible*Ensuring legislation in regards to displaying jewellery is adhered to*Ensuring the visual presentation of the windows are maintained and any promotional materials are on display as instructed*Reviewing all commercial reports and establishing goals with the store team to maximise profits*The training and development of Assistant Managers and staff including staff appraisals*Recruitment of staff*Following all security and health and safety proceduresThis role is suitable for an existing Store Manager from a retail background, ideally with previous experience in a pawn brokers, buying and selling various goods including jewellery, loan administration or foreign exchange.
