Job Description

SSIS DEVELOPER - £41,000 - £51,000 (plus Excellent Benefits, 35 days leave - plus banks - Very generous pension contributions and on the job training/certifications). REMOTE with occasional visits to Manchester when required. A globally renowned and unique organisation based in Manchester are looking for a skilled SSIS DEVELOPER to work within their Integration Delivery Team.The team is responsible for the application development and application maintenance of their core integration technologies - primarily SSIS and Webmethods.The integration team is responsible for over 800 integration jobs maintaining data links between their core, internal and external systems. Implementation of solid, reliable integration is key to the success ofthe many projects in flight at the organisation.The SSIS DEVELOPER will work with business users and IT colleagues to define integration requirements, and provide solutions based upon their core integration technologies. This will be primarily within Microsoft SSIS. A detailed understanding of a broadrange of integration approaches and technologies will be essential.Essential role requirements:

  • A detailed understanding of a broad range of integration approaches and technologies is essential for the role.
  • A detailed understanding of SSIS for creating and implementing complex integrations between different systems.
  • Experience with a web service messaging technology (preferably webMethods, but knowledge of alternative products would also be considered)
  • Experience gathering requirements and producing design / build documentation in the integration space.
  • Strong SQL skills around Oracle and MS SQL.
  • Experience working as a Senior Analyst leading and mentoring other team members.
  • Experience using source control, e.g. Bitbucket/Git/SVN
Desirable:
  • Experience using Azure DevOps
  • Java
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence
