SQL Support Engineer

SQL Support EngineerMain Purpose of Job; You will be responsible for providing 3rd line engineering support for our existing platforms. Taking ultimate responsibility for all engineering support issues that come into the team and in analysing and resolving these.This role is heavily SQL/backend focused, as such it will require someone who is proficient in SQL.Key Responsibilities* Take full accountability and responsibility of 3rd line engineering support activities/issues* Manage engineering support backlog activities* Work with the PO and 1st Line support to co-ordinate on issue priority* Troubleshoot and debug applications in order to replicate and resolve issues; doing so in a timely manner* Keep issues updated with regards to progress on a regular basis* Identify root cause of issues and raise these as backlog items of work* Identify trends around recurrence of issues and categorise accordingly* Provide out-of-hours technical support* Participate in the teams daily agile ceremonies* Engage with 1st Line Support on issues that originated from Clients and are Client impacting* Liaise with the wider engineering team, test, 1st line support on issues where appropriate to assist in issue resolutionTechnical Skills* Proven competency and practical experience of the following* T-SQL / SQL Server and specifically experience around of the followingo Stored Procedureso CTEso Cursorso Indexeso Viewso User-defined Objects (Tables, Functions)o Exception Handlingo Transactionso Temporary Tableso Sequenceso Triggerso Optional Parameters* C# .NET / .NET Core* AngularJS / Angular* Javascript / JQuery * ASP.Net MVC 5/6 * Version Control (TFS, GitHub, Azure DevOps)* Experience of the following would be advantageous but not essential* Unit Testing* Agile Software Development* Mobile Development experience using any of the following technologieso Xamarin (iOS / Android)o React NativeAbout CitationWe are Citation.
