Job Description

Are you a sports coach or a PE assistant looking for a new challenge in a vibrant, inclusive secondary schoolbased in ManchesterThe school are looking for sports coach / PE teaching assistant to work delivering and supporting in sessions of sports such as football, basketball, trampolining, gymnastics and rugby.The school also ask that all TAs have the confidence to cover and deliver individual sessions of sports as well as following the lead of the PE teacher.Highlights of the post include

  • Long term fixed supply post with a view to a permanent school based contract
  • Ideal for graduates looking to gain experience within a school delivering PE

  • Confident in taking small groups delivering sports sessions
  • Have a degree or equivalent experience
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure or Overseas Police Check if applicable
    • You will be joining a "good" school based in Manchester with great public transport links and ample parking available. Staff at the school work as a community to ensure the school is a place where each pupil can achieve their potential, develop their skills and deepen their knowledge and understanding of the world. The incoming Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to work within a warm and welcoming staff team and with a strong Headteacher.The school are looking to appoint someone for September. All Teaching Assistants will have to complete a trial day at school.
